The other day a tile from the roof fell off and now there's a swallow nest in the space left. The birds are making a big mess covering the balcony with twigs and excrements and they woke me up at 8 this morning with their tweets, but on the other hand they look so happy and comfy and I feel sad for having to throw them away Sad What should we do?

Could you maybe move it to a nearby tree?

I have an odd lump on my left shin Confused It's been there for a while and now I'm getting really worried and paranoid about it. Can't get to the doctor until next week though Sad

If it has been there for a while and growing slowly, it is not as worrisome. Did you bump it at some point in the past?

Hope it's nothing serious! Luckily we have our own doctor aboard in the forum Wink I think you should get it checked though.

As for the birds, well, we can't do that. Swallows make their nests in places were they're sheltered from the rain, so they wouldn't want to live on a tree we're they're completely exposed. And anyway, the nest is buried deep down beneath the tiles and we can't reach it and the mother would probably tear our eyes out if we dared to touch her eggs. I think we'll just wait until they leave on their own. Well you just can't fight mother nature I guess

I'm not really sure.. I thought I may have done because I'm quite accident prone and the skin is kind of discoloured a bit, like a bruise, but it's been there for ages now. Doctors appointment booked for next week Smile

I locked ourselves out of the house this morning. Damn, of all the stupid things a person can do... Rolling Eyes Confused Laughing

About 3 weeks ago, I was moving and house-sitting in the same weekend. I loaded their truck, and then locked ALL of the keys (old apartment, new apartment, all cars, and their house keys!) in their truck. The locksmith appeared perplexed about unlocking a truck that didn't belong to me, but he did it anyway. Wink

AND THEN I missed both my classes that day because my walk-through took 2 hours too long, and of course my friends flew in 5 hours earlier than expected that afternoon which made me 1 hour late picking them up from the airport. Yeah, they loved that! Such a shit day! Someone totally had it in for me Sad Heh.

So I went to get something checked at the doctors (surprisingly it wasn't about what I was talking about earlier in this thread!) last week and they have referred me to see a specialist. I've just got an appointment on Monday which is pretty surprising - I thought there would be a long waiting list.

Should I be worried that they therefore think it's urgent or just think it's lucky that I've got an appointment so soon Laughing Confused

All last week I was facing a desicion whether or not to go to a get-together at a friends place. I really wanted to see everyone except for one guy who I'm not really on good terms with at the moment. In the end I didn't go, and now I'm glad I did. Apparently they were violently threatened by a young neighbour with a weapon of some sort and they're all in complete shock. Shocked Blimey.
