Dont worry about it, for me it's become a bi-monthly routine. I know I should go out and buy a new one but I just can't be bothered.

Mine has done that before but I just took it to the Apple Shop and they sorted it for me in 5 mins by resetting it. (I could have done that myself..I'm not silly  , but I was walking past the shop as it froze, haha)

Last time I took mine back to Apple they just said "buy a new one". Helpful.

My mad theory is that they program iPod's intentionally to break after a certain time so people can go out and buy the new ones.
