Whenever I've got Editors on repeat, I wonder how things might have gone for them if they'd released different singles. Like, if they'd have been more popular if other songs were released as singles.

So, if you could pick three singles from each album (including B sides), what would they be? Thought this would be an interesting topic.

For me, it'd have to be:

The Back Room - Munich, Bullets, Fingers in the Factories
AEHAS - The Racing Rats, When Anger Shows, AEHAS
ITLAOTE - Papillon, ERM=BD, Like Treasure

Definately Spiders, probably Open Your Arms, probably not All Sparks, but love Munich and Bullets so wouldn't change that, although Fading is a killer tune

You know I'm pretty pleased with the single choices thus far. My on

Oh yeah, and the radio edits of PYHTTA and Papillon, would've done them quite differently.

well i would of kept all the singles of the first album and released all the same singles from AEHAS but PYHTTA, as for In This Light im really stuck after papillon, because most of the songs are not what you may call "radio Friendly". im not saying they are rude or offensive, generally i can't see them getting much airplay to begin with, and without that they can't build up popularity, best example of this has been YDKL (so far, It could change)
also B-sides shall remain B-sides

I think they have pretty much released the correct singles. Munich and Blood were the obvious hits from the first album and Smokers/AEHAS was the perfect double header for the AEHAS campaign - the rest didn't really matter. Sure, they should have released ERM=BD as the second single and I also would love to have The Boxer as a single, but the most important thing was getting the first choice right: Papillon.
